Vintage 1960s "penalty" - A Pepys Card Game
VINTAGE PEPYS 'PENALTY WORLD FAMOUS FOOTBALL CARD GAME' This game is complete with all 52 cards (38 movement, 5 goalkeeper, 4 free kicks, 4 corners and 1 penalty), the playing pitch, the rules & the ball. This is a game for 2 - 6 players...The game and box are in great vintage condition with minor signs of age related wear. The box has one split corner and some minor scuff marks as expected. The pitch is clean and in good condition. Overall, the pitch, cards and rule book are in excellent condition given their age.Unfortunately, over the past 50 years, somebody has painted the initials 'AR' on the front of the box as can be seen in the photo - I'd love to think this was done by Sir Alf Ramsey himself, or maybe had some other special footballing or collectible significance, but alas... I guess it doesn't and it somewhat detracts from the overall condition and appearance of the box.Passing, tackles, shots at goal, corners, fouls etc. take place by players using cards from their hand which are dealt out from the special deck of cards.e we At least two versions of the game were produced in England by arrangement with Ernesto Scola, Milan.
